I can't believe it! I only mailed my fingerprints to the State Bureau of Investigation last Tuesday for my background check, and I had the fingerprints and the notorized form back in the mail today!! I had been told that it might take ~3 weeks to process, so I was figuring I was on hold for a while longer.
I meet with my district superintendent and his secretary (and a notary) tomorrow and then all my documents will be ready to go to the state for "THE GREAT SEAL"...apparently a fancy sticker I pay big bucks for! I just need my updated homestudy from my agency and I'm set!
Unlike Russia, where it felt like I was always hitting brick walls, maybe things are going to go my way for once!
